PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper device for a vehicle capable of surely sensing raindrops flowing down from a roof of the vehicle onto a windshield and wiping out the raindrops flowing down from the roof without affecting usual wiper control i.e., without giving an uncomfortable feeling to a driver. SOLUTION: The wiper device for the vehicle is constituted of wipers 5 wiping off the raindrops on the windshield W of the vehicle, a drive means 4 causing the wipes 5 to wipe off, and a control means 3 outputting drive control signals Cs to the drive means 4 based on a raindrop detecting signals Qs from a raindrop detecting sensor 1 detecting the raindrops on the windshield W and vehicle velocity signals Vs from a vehicle velocity sensor 2. The drive control signals Cs causing the wipers 5 to wipe off only a few times are outputted to the drive means 4 in the case that the variation of vehicle velocities grasped from the vehicle velocity signals Vs is a predetermined value or larger and when the raindrop detecting signals Qs are inputted from the raindrop detecting sensor 1 to the control means 3.
