PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance driving characteristics of an actuator and improve a discharge speed of ink drops in an inkjet recording head having the actuator which comprises a vibrating part with a piezoelectric ceramic layer and a metal layer stacked sequentially, and a driving part with a piezoelectric ceramic layer subjected to a polarization process in a thickness direction and an electrode layer stacked sequentially. SOLUTION: The driving part of the actuator comprises the vibrating part with the piezoelectric ceramic layer and the metal layer stacked sequentially, and the driving part with the piezoelectric ceramic layer subjected to the polarization process in the thickness direction and the electrode layer stacked sequentially. The driving part is joined to the side of a channel member. At the same time, the driving part is arranged independently at a position opposite to an ink chamber of the vibrating part. Moreover, the piezoelectric ceramic layers for forming the driving part and the vibrating part are formed by ceramics of the same kind. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
