PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate cutting device capable of cutting a gate while forcibly guiding a flat part on the basis of a cutter blade and a lower roll by holding the flat part by the cutter blade positioned on the upper surface of the flat part and the lower roll, eliminating necessity for providing an exclusive fixture for positioning and fixing a resin molded article as a result, capable of suppressing the equipment cost of the gate cutting device, capable of eliminating the excessive cutting or cutting residue of a gate and capable of reducing percent defective due to gate cutting. SOLUTION: The gate cutting device 50 comprises the lower roll 15 provided along the undersurface 42 of the flat part 31, the roll holder 53 for supporting the lower roll 15 in a freely rotatable manner, a connection part for connecting the roll holder 53 to a robot 63 and the cutter blade 16B extended from the roll holder 53 in order to cut the gate 32.
