PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forcibly opening method of a tundish nozzle for continuous casting in which the forcible opening of a tundish nozzle clogging part formed at the start of the continuous casting can be surely performed without causing the excessive oxidation of molten steel and without generating damages to a refractory, and to provide a device. SOLUTION: When the tundish nozzle is in a clogging state at the start of the continuous casting, the tip of a tundish stopper is made to be close to the tundish nozzle clogging part, and at the same time, the tundish nozzle is forcibly opened by spraying an oxygen gas from the tip of the tundish stopper to the tundish nozzle clogging part.
