PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit heating water with good heat efficiency, looking better and preventing an inner container from being abnormally heated upon heating of an empty container. SOLUTION: In the electric hot water container, a heat-radiating plate 23 composed of a good heat conductor, at the lower surface of which an electric heater 4 has been installed in a closely contacted state, is provided on the inner bottom of the inner container 3, a number of circulating ports 28, 28... and 29, 29..., through which hot water is vertically circulated, are formed at other positions than the closely contacted site with the electric heater 4 in the heat-radiating plate 23 to improve the heat efficiency by acceleration of convection and to prevent bubbles generated by heating of the electric heater 4 from staying on the lower surface of the heat-radiating plate 23, thereby preventing the heat of the electric heater 4 from becoming hard to be transferred to water due to the presence of the bubbles to cause abnormal heating of the electric heater 4.
