PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assist member which can narrow an opening of a container for cut flowers or the like when detachably mounted on the container. SOLUTION: The assist member 30 includes a body 31 formed with a through hole 31a to serve as an opening and locks (32 or the like) formed at both ends of the body 31. The member 30 is further formed of a plate-formed material, and the locks (32 or the like) are bendably connected with the body 31. Flanges (32a, 32b, 33b or the like) are further formed at both sides of a leading edge of the lock (32 or the like).
