PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently reduce the effect of residual magnetization caused by gradient pulses. SOLUTION: A degree of phase rewind gradient is made to be a half of approximately half of that of phase encode gradient. A degree of slice rewind gradient is made to be a half or approximately half of that of slice encode gradient. Killer gradient having the same degree of that of slice selection gradient is applied to a slice axis. The killer gradient having the same degree of that of read-out gradient is applied to a frequency axis successively to the read-out gradient. As a result, deterioration of image quality by the effect of the residual magnetization caused by the gradient pulses can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
