PURPOSE: An apparatus for driving the front panel of a car audio system is provided to observe and operate the front panel when an information medium is inserted/ejected into/from the car audio system. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for driving the front panel(20) of a car audio system includes a main chassis(10) for housing the audio system, and a projected part(26) that is projected from both sides of one of the main chassis and front panel toward both sides of the other one. The apparatus further includes a vertical guide(11), a support panel(30), and a support panel driver(40). The vertical guide is formed at one of the main chassis and front panel such that the front panel moves along the vertical direction of the main chassis, and accommodates the projected part. The support panel is placed inside the main chassis in a manner that it is slidably ejected. Both sides of the front part of the support panel are rotatably combined with both sides of the front panel. The support panel driver drives the support panel to control a tilted angle of the front panel with respect to the main chassis.
