PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device capable of meeting a customer's desire to change specification with simple work while realizing the low cost by suppressing development investment and mold investment to prevent the increase of a manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: This paper feeding device has a paper feeding cassette; a delivery roller for delivering paper sheet stacked on the paper feeding cassette; a retard roller for separating the paper sheet by sheet in cooperation with the delivery roller; a torque limiter placed on the way of a drive transmission path to the retard roller; a carrier roller provided on the same face side of the paper sheet as the delivery roller to convey the paper sheet delivered by the delivery roller; and a pinch roller facing the carrier roller.
