PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a target coil spring having a desired shape automatically and correctly by performing a post process including at least warm setting after coiling, while sending out a wire. SOLUTION: A plurality of parameters are set for specifying the shape of the target coil spring having a desired shape. The free height of the coil spring prior to the setting is set based on the free height of the target coil spring, using warm setting simulation to specify a shape change when the warm setting is performed by simulation to a prescribed coil spring. Based on at least the free height of the coil spring prior to the setting and the plurality of parameters, the shape prior to the post process is set. Based on the shape prior to the post process, the wire is coiled to perform the post process such as the warm setting. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
