<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording sheet which has a well ink acceptive performance, excellent glossiness and image density, and excellent ozone resistance and light resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The ink jet recording sheet comprises a color material acceptive layer provided on a support so that the layer contains a compound represented by formula (1) and a hindered amine compound, wherein R<SP>1</SP>to R<SP>6</SP>are each independently a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic group, an aromatic group, or a heterocyclic group, R<SP>11</SP>R<SP>12</SP>N-R<SP>13</SP>R<SP>14</SP>C=N-, R<SP>15</SP>-OCO-, R<SP>16</SP>-CO-, R<SP>17</SP>-CS-, R<SP>18</SP>-SO<SB>2</SB>-, R<SP>19</SP>R<SP>20</SP>N-CO-, R<SP>21</SP>R<SP>22</SP>N-CS-, or R<SP>23</SP>R<SP>24</SP>N-C(=NR<SP>25</SP>)-.
