PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric bendable endoscope which facilitates calibration work by making it bendable freely. SOLUTION: Driving forces of a bending motor 31 are transmitted to a sprocket 26 through a clutch mechanism part 32a. When a switching operation lever 39a is operated, the clutch mechanism 32a is switched between cutting and return positions. A bending controller 3 is provided therein with a bending angle computing part 44 which calculates information on bending states based on outputs of a potentiometer 34, a drive signal generation part 42 for motors which generates drive signals for driving a bending part 23 to bend, a drive signal generation part 45 for the JS motors which calculates indicated positions of a stick part 36a based on the information on the bending states to move the stick part 36a to the positions and a calibration instructive part 43 which receives position signals from a state detection switch 33 to direct the drive signal generation part 45 for the JS motors to output the drive signals generated to the JS motors 51 and 52.
