<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental face bow suitable for use in dental treatment for edentulous jaw disease, multi-tooth coloboma or the like, and the usage thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The face bow is formed by providing a wax rim attaching member for fixing the wax rim mounted in the oral cavity of a patient to the base parts of a pair of left and right arms respectively provided with locking parts locked with the ears of the patient in a before and behind position regulable manner. When the face bow is used, the wax rim mounted in the oral cavity of the patient is attached to the wax rim attaching member and the locking parts of the left and right arms are locked with the ear holes of the patient. Then, the projection line of a resultant force line connecting the point of the central part of the front edge of the frontal sinus of the patient and the mandible corner thereof is drawn on the temple part of the patient to calculate the angle of the face bow with respect to the projection line and the face bow is attached to an articulator so as to reproduce the angle of the face bow and a row of teeth is formed along a circular arc centering around the set point on the resultant force line. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
