<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability of the handle for adjusting the strength at the time of tilting backward the backrest. <P>SOLUTION: The reclining seat is equipped between the support base at the upper part of the leg and the seat frame with a strength adjusting means for adjusting the strength of the resisting force at the time of backward tilting of the seat-back frame. The strength adjusting means 31 comprises a compression coil spring 34 which is set in the forward and backward direction and the front end of which is capable of energizing forward by abutting with the front end of the seat frame 12, a spring holder 33 that holds the rear end of the compression coil spring 34 and makes the compression coil spring 34 expand by moving in the forward and backward direction, a slider 35 which is held by the above support base at the back of the spring holder 33 movably in the right and left direction and of which the front face sliding with the back face of the spring holder 33 makes a slanted cam face 44 that acts so as to push forward the spring holder 33 at the time of movement to either the right or left, and an operating rod 37 which is supported by the above support base capable of rotating in the right and left direction and is capable of moving the slider 35 in the right and left direction by screwing the male screw at the top end into the square nut 48 of the slider 35, and has an operating handle 36 at the side end. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
