PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste treatment apparatus capable of sufficiently drying waste while realizing the conservation of energy. SOLUTION: The waste treatment apparatus is equipped with an air blow hole part 21 provided with a plurality of air blow holes 22, the waste housing part 20 provided above the air blow hole part 21, an air blow means 24 for blowing the open air to the waste housing part 20 from the air blow holes 22, an air blow route 23 for allowing the air blow holes 22 to communicate with the air blow means 24 and the heating means 25 provided in the air blow route 23 to heat the open air sent in from the air blow means 24. The heating means 25 is constituted so as to start the operation of the air blow means 24 after the air blow means 24 is operated for a predetermined time. By this constitution, drying treatment can be performed by blowing heated air and waste can be sufficiently dried. Further, a drying time due to hot air can be shortened by the time required for the drying due to air having the normal temperature as compared with a case performing drying from the beginning by hot air.
