摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stand device for an electric automobile which eliminates the need for a dedicated motor for the stand to achieve weight reduction by allowing the stand to perform a grounding operation using a traveling motor. <P>SOLUTION: The stand device 41 for an electric automobile is equipped with the travelling electric motor 7, a power transmission device 12 and the stand 45 to be grounded and accommodated for tightly supporting the automobile body. The stand device 41 is also provided with a stand grounding/ accommodating mechanism for grounding and accommodating the stand and a clutch which shuts off motor power from the power transmission device and transmits the motor power to the stand grounding/accommodating mechanism. The stand grounding/accommodating mechanism has a mechanism to connect a rotating shaft having its stand base end fixed to an output shaft of the traveling motor via a one-directional clutch 43 and a gear train 44.
