<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an electronic pet autonomously moving between information terminal devices. <P>SOLUTION: A platform which is the performing environment of a mobile agent is functioned by a personal computer 2, portable telephone sets 3A to 3C and a PDA 4 which are the information terminal devices (nodes) capable of transmitting and receiving data by connecting them to a communication line. The mobile agent which is the electronic pet, information which defines the purpose of moving and destination information for returning to a moving source node (personal computer 2), and a growing a game is carried out on the platform at the respective nodes to carry out a growing game by the devices. When the purpose is attained by the node at a moving destination, the mobile agent moves to the next node or returns to the moving source node via the electronic mail M on the basis of the destination information.
