PURPOSE: Provided is a barrel type electrolyzer being advantageous in easy use, compact size and high electrolysis efficiency due to large contact area, and being capable of rapidly separating valuable metal from wastewater. CONSTITUTION: The electrolyzer comprises a wastewater storage tank(10), and a barrel type electrolytic bath(130) to be installed in the storage tank(10) for electrolysis, wherein the electrolytic bath(130) includes a frame(110), a rotatable barrel(131) installed between two opposite sides of the frame(100) in horizontal direction, an outer electrode mesh(132) surrounding the rotatable barrel(131), and an inner electrode bar(138) installed in the rotatable barrel(131).
