<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity by minimizing sheet intervals, and extend life of moving or rotating parts. <P>SOLUTION: In this image forming device in which a latent image is formed based on a signal outputted at constant time intervals by an image forming part 2, the latent image is developed, and the image is formed on a sheet, after the sheet is stopped for a fixed period, the sheet is fed again by a resist roller 20 which is arranged on the upstream side of the image forming part 2 and can vary its carrying speed, the carrying of the sheet fed again by the resist roller 20 is started at a higher speed than an image forming speed by a controller, the speed of the resist roller 20 is controlled so as to be equalized with the image forming speed on this side of a fixed distance from the image forming part 2, and the carrying speed at the time of high speed carrying by the resist roller 20 is set to be equalized with the image forming speed on this side of the fixed distance from the image forming part 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
