PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip filter capable of effectively preventing the leak of liquid at a boundary at a contact part of the chip and the filter, and carrying out a favorable attachment work of the chip a manufacturing method therefor, and a chip using the filter. SOLUTION: The chip filter includes an approximately cylindrical porous sintered body with the average pore diameter of the peripheral wall surface 2a smaller than that of the upper surface 2b or the lower surface 2c. The method for manufacturing the chip filter includes a step for softening and deforming the peripheral wall surface 2a by heating a punching blade when the approximately cylindrical porous sintered body is punched from a porous sintered body for punching.
