PURPOSE: A damping valve of a steering system is provided to facilitate manufacture and assembling and reduce the volume by simplifying the structure of the damping valve. CONSTITUTION: A damping valve of a steering system has a housing forming a supply port(31) and a discharge port(32); a valve plate(40) with the outer peripheral surface fixed to the inside of the housing; plural inner peripheral holes(41) formed to the inner periphery of the valve plate, outer peripheral holes(42) formed to the outer periphery, and installation holes(43) formed in the middle part; a pin(50) inserted in the installation holes; a support plate(60) installed to the discharge port side of the pin, to be separated from the valve plate; a spring(70) with one end supported to the support plate and the other end disposed to the valve plate side; and a disk(80) covering the outer peripheral holes. The housing is installed on a side of a hydraulic tube. The pin has a head(51) to cover the inner peripheral holes. Plural communicating holes(83) to be communicated with the inner peripheral holes are formed on the inner peripheral side.
