PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the center of rotation from deviating even when the interval between holders is changed due to variations in length of the core or in shape of its end faces. SOLUTION: This recording paper roll holder device comprises first and second holders 16, 17 fitted to both ends of a recording paper roll. The first and second holders 16, 17 are engaged with each other in the interior of the core 13 of the paper roll. An engaging part 32 and an engaging shaft 33 are latched by a latch mechanism. A rotary shaft 28 is fixed to the first holder 16 and pierces through the second holder 17. The second holder 17 is provided with a shaft supporting part 56 having a shaft hole 57, through which an end 28b of the rotary shaft 28 is inserted.
