<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method and an X-ray apparatus with which a fluorescent X-ray fluoroscopic image and a projection of a blood vessel model can be combined accurately. <P>SOLUTION: The invention relates to the production of an accurate figure or a road map of blood vessels which can be correlated with a current X-ray image during intervention of the vascular system. The figure of blood vessels is obtained from a four-dimensional model of a blood vessel tree, that is, from a model that is spatially three-dimensional and time dependent. The time dependency is associated with natural behaviors of the human body such as heartbeat and/or respiration. The rhythm of heartbeat and/or respiration are measured by a sensor, and the measured rhythm is used for selecting and displaying a corresponding three-dimensional vascular model so that the model synchronizes with the measured rhythm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
