<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bristle material for a brush having low moisture absorbing property, appropriate flexibility and rigidity, flex recovery property, and durability against repeated use. <P>SOLUTION: The bristle material for a brush is composed of monofilament cut bristle made of polypropylene terephthalate having a flex recovery ratio of not less than 65% as a main component. It is recommended to form a tapered part at least at one end of the cut bristle and/or to form the cross section of the bristle into an irregular profile. The bristle material for brush is useful for a tooth brush, a makeup brush, a paintbrush, a writing brush, a brush for coating, and a brush for body cleaning or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
