PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel for an airplane which enables the wheel to be rotated in a number of revolution controlled in a landing direction in advance at the time of landing, and the tire to be less worn for a safe landing. SOLUTION: A wheel for supporting an airplane is provided with a wind receiving fin. At the time of landing, compressed air is blown against the fin to cause it to be rotated in advance in a landing direction, the number of rotation of each wheel is detected by a sensor and sent to a control unit so that a touchdown can be carried out under the controlled rotation of each of the wheels.
