PURPOSE: A master cylinder is provided to reduce components of the master cylinder and assembly processes by preventing oil from being flowed between a guide bush and a first piston, and the guide bush and a cylinder by using a single sealing member and to easily produce the guide bush by installing the sealing member to the front of the guide bush without an installing groove for mounting the sealing member on an outer peripheral surface of the guide bush. CONSTITUTION: A compact type master cylinder is composed of a cylinder(10) at which an inlet port(22) and an outlet port(23,33) are formed and first and second pistons(20,30) installed in the cylinder to perform a reciprocating motion to pressurize oil, which is flowed in the cylinder through the inlet port, toward the outlet port. The rear of the first piston is extended to the outside of the cylinder in a predetermined length. In addition, the master cylinder includes a guide bush(60) mounted between an inner circumference of the end of the cylinder and an outer circumference of the piston to guide the reciprocating motion of the piston and to prevent foreign materials from being flowed in the cylinder and a sealing member(70) disposed at the front of the guide bush to shut up between the inner circumference of the guide bush and the outer circumference of the piston, and between the outer circumference of the guide bush and the inner circumference of the cylinder at the same time.
