METHOD FOR RECORDING DATA IN OPTICAL RECORDING MEDIUM AND APPARATUS THEREOF

PURPOSE: A method for recording data in an optical recording medium and an apparatus thereof are provided to restrain distortion of a mark shape due to thermal interference and thermal accumulation between adjacent marks while improving the mark shape, thereby improving recording/playback characteristics. CONSTITUTION: A recording device receives data from the outside and modulates the received data to create NRZI(Non-Return to Zero Invert) data. A recording waveform having an elimination pattern is generated. The elimination pattern includes a predetermined pulse of which an upper level is higher than an elimination power level and a lower level is lower than the elimination power level. A mark or space is formed in an optical disk by using the generated recording waveform.
