DEVICE FOR DRIVING CLAMP OF COMPACT DISK PLAYER FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE: A device for driving a clamp of a compact disk player for a vehicle is provided to minimize an operation error by mechanically realizing all operations in clamping a disk without electric operations. CONSTITUTION: If an inserted disk is moved to the center of a turntable, the disk rotates a select arm(6) for pressing a sensor lever(150) to move the lever to the front. A holding piece(156) of the sensor lever is separated from a holding piece(134) of an idle arm(130), so that the idle arm rotates upward for rising an idle gear(140). The idle gear is engaged with a cam gear(160) for rotating the cam gear. A power transmitting bar(180) transmits rotary force of the cam gear to a locking lever(170) for moving the locking lever to the front, so that a support pin(174) is separated from a clamp arm to let the clamp arm descend by a spring(146). A clamp applies pressure to an upper surface of the disk for preventing the disk from separating.
