Bridged indenopyrrolocarbazoles

Fused aryl and heteroaryl bridged indenopyrrolocarbazoles, methods for making said bridged indenopyrrolocarbazoles and their use as therapeutic agents for enhancing trophic factor-induced activities of trophic factor responsive cells, survival-promoting agents for other neuronal cell types, and in the treatment of disorders associated with decreased ChAT activity or the death or injury to spinal cord motorneurons. The bridged indenopyrrolocarbazoles compounds also have utility in treating diseases associated with apoptotic cell death of the central and peripheral nervous system, immune system, inflammatory diseases, and may have utility in treatment of malignant cell proliferation.
