PURPOSE: A lifting apparatus for constructing and dismantling a bridge and a lifting construction method using the lifting apparatus are provided to progress work without causing traffic congestion and to shorten a term of works by minimizing the remaining work of the work site. CONSTITUTION: A lifting apparatus for constructing and dismantling a bridge has a feed frame part; plural multi-stage hydraulic jacks(140); a bent part(130); and a constructed concrete part. The feed frame part has a roller(154) with a wire(156) to settle an upper plate(14); a feed rail on which the roller is secured; and a winch moving the feed roller. The multi-stage hydraulic jacks are combined to the lower part of the feed frame, to lift the feed frame. The bent part is made of steel-frame structure by a steel member to secure the multi-stage hydraulic jacks. The constructed concrete part supports the lifting apparatus on the sides of each pier(12) and abutment(13) supporting the upper plate of the bridge and prevents settlement of the ground.
