<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet exchange device for distributing data only to a necessary terminal, and for instantaneously stopping data distribution in response to a distribution stop request from the terminal, and for preventing the generation of any unintentional data distribution stop even when a plurality of terminals are connected through the same network interface. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with subscription condition tables 15-1 to 15-4 corresponding to a plurality of network interfaces 11-1 to 11-4 one to one, and the MAC address of a client is registered as an entry in the subscription condition tables 15-1 to 15-4 in response to a subscription request from the client, and the MAC address of the corresponding client is erased from the subscription condition tables 15-1 to 15-4 in response to a stop request from the client so that the number of clients who are receiving data can be always managed.
