<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device using a super-wide-angle retro- reflective panel, capable of visually recognizing light from a light emitting surface from any angle in an extremely excellent manner. <P>SOLUTION: This light emitting device is composed of a transparent panel, a light source provided along the transparent panel, and a microscopic sphere type retro-reflective layer provided on the rear surface of the transparent panel and composed of a large number of microscopic transparent spheres to the almost half face of which a metallic film is deposited and a supporting body to support these transparent spheres on a single layer. The transparent panel generates super-wide-angle light going toward a numberless directions in the inside of the panel by reflecting or refracting the light from the light source in its inside, and the retro-reflective layer retro-reflects the super-wide-angle light reached the rear surface of the transparent panel toward the outside of the light emitting device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
