PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plurality of wireless communication systems having duplicate service areas to each other whereby communication in matching with the needs of users is efficiently performed at a low cost. SOLUTION: In an area where cells corresponding to a base station 21 of a wireless communication system 2 and cells corresponding to a base station 31 of a wireless communication system 3 are duplicated to each other, while a mobile phone 1 makes wireless communication with the base station 31, the base station 31 acquires information supplied from the base station 21 to the mobile phone 1 and supplies the information to the mobile phone 1 or replies the base station 21 on behalf of the mobile phone 1. Further, the mobile phone 1 can temporarily stop wireless communication with the base station 31 and make direct wireless communication with the base station 21. In this case, the base station 31 can take various actions such as storage of data supplied from a communication opposite party to the mobile phone 1 and supply of the data to the mobile phone 1 later.
