PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid mounting apparatus of a cup type vending machine in which a lid separated from a sequence of lids of a plurality of stacked lids can be set in a predetermined position so as to properly mount the lid on a cup. SOLUTION: The lid mounting apparatus 2 of the cup type vending machine for mounting the lid on the cup containing drink at sale comprises: a lid accommodating device 22 for accommodating the lid sequence of a plurality of lids L stacked mutually in the up-and-down direction; a lid separator 172 for separating the lowest lid L from the lid sequence accommodated in the lid accommodating device 22; an opening 96a of a lid transfer arm 82 to which the lid L is set so as to be mounted to a cup C, being arranged in a predetermined position of a lower part of the lid accommodating device 22; and a lid delivery mechanism 174 for setting delivering the lid L separated by the lid separator 172 to be set to the opening 96a.
