ALPHANUMERIC KEYPAD, DISPLAY SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data input and display device and a method to enhance efficiency for a data processing device. SOLUTION: The data input and display device comprises a plurality of first keys 12 and the plurality of second keys 14. Each of the first keys supports at least one of primary alphanumeric character symbols. At least one of the first keys supports at least one of secondary alphanumeric character symbols in association with this. The first keys to support the secondary alphanumeric character symbols can operate to display the secondary alphanumeric character symbols selectively in association with the second key. The above device comprises also a display 22 which can be embodied as a user interface for an ordinary touch screen with a keypad 10. The data input and the display method comprise both a state to operate one of the first keys on the keypad and display one set of the secondary alphanumeric character symbols in association with the second keys, and the state to select one set of the secondary alphanumeric character symbols by selecting the primary alphanumeric character symbols in association with the first keys or operating one of the second keys.
