PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a component having an electromagnetic wave shielding layer and a coating surface for performing an excellent electromagnetic wave shielding effect. SOLUTION: The component 10 for a portable telephone comprises the electromagnetic wave shielding layer made of a silver film 13 via a dark undercoating layer 12 on a surface of a base 11 formed of a synthetic resin such as an acrylic material or the like, and a transparent outside clear coating layer 14 covering the shielding layer. The film 13 is formed by the precipitation of a silver ion liquid by a silver mirror reaction of the injection of a reduced liquid, thereby performing the excellent electromagnetic wave shielding effect by the conductivity.
