PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily restore and transfer setting information on a communication apparatus. SOLUTION: A maintenance server device 2 receives the setting information from the communication apparatus 1-1 requiring upload of the setting information, generates a setting file ID proper to this setting information, sends back the ID to the communication apparatus 1-1, stores this setting file ID and the received setting information in an apparatus information storage part 22 while making them correspond to each other, receives the setting file ID from a communication apparatus 1-2 requiring download of the setting information, acquires the setting information corresponding to this setting file ID from the apparatus information storage part 22, and sends back the acquired setting information to the communication apparatus 1-2.
