The invention relates to a control and adjustment apparatus for a hydrostatic system, meant to drive a drilling rig or a overhauling installation. According to the invention, the apparatus comprises a body (9) which together with one of some valves (10 and 11) play both the role of distributing valve on the first portion of the working stroke and of adjustable working stroke of one of the valves (10 and 11), the opening of the circuits according to the position of said scheme being ensured in the conditions of keeping unchanged the flowing section between some chambers (I and E), and on the last portion of the working stroke of one of said valves (10 and 11) the opening of the circuits according to the scheme is kept, the flowing section between the chambers (S and E) varying until its total closing at the end of the stroke of one of valves (10 and 11).
