<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium for recording with satisfactory fitter held even if a linear velocity is variable. <P>SOLUTION: In an information recording medium for linear velocity variable recording having a phase change type recording film, at least one interface layer coming into contact with the recording film contains as a main component a material obtained from combination of a group composed of recoding film constituent elements and elements away by one section to the left, downward or in a left oblique downward direction in a periodic table, and at least one element selected from a group composed of the recording film constituent elements themselves or elements of up to three upper sections of the recording film constituent elements in the periodic table. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
