<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grommet capable of easily fitted to a fitting panel which is easily manufactured at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: Annular grooves 7 in a plurality of lines are provided circumferentially at the part contacting the peripheral edge of a mounting hole on a tapered outer peripheral surface 5 of a grommet body 1. In other words, concentric annular corrugations 6, formed with the V-like annular grooves 7, are disposed in lamination with an interval. When the grommet body 1 is fitted to a fitting hole H, the outer peripheral surface 5 of the grommet body 1 slides in pulling direction, while abutting against the fitting hole H. Since the annular corrugations 6 formed on the outer peripheral surface 5 fall in a direction opposite to the pulling direction, the friction resistance between the fitting hole H and the outer peripheral surface 5 of the grommet body 1 is reduced, and the grommet body 1 is fitted to the fitting hole H by a low engagement force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
