<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make electronic watermark print easy to use. <P>SOLUTION: In this document control device, a memory means memorizes a file (document) by storing it in a folder. An attribute setting means sets an attribute including presence/absence of a watermark in the folder. In printing the file, a creation means creates watermark data based on the attribute set in the folder for storing the file.
