<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source component where a fitting space is narrowed and the fitting structure is simplified. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting diode chip (2) becoming a light source and a photodiode chip (3) becoming the light quantity monitor of light emitted from the light emitting diode chip are integrally kept on the same stem (10). The light emitting diode chip (2) has a chip front face emitting main light and chip sides emitting side light beams. The photodiode chip has a light receiving face sensitive to incident light. Both diode chips (2 and 3) are positioned in such a way that at least a part of the side light beams emitted from the chip sides of the light emitting diode chip (2) is made incident on the light receiving face of the photodiode chip (3). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
