PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading system, an image reading method for the image reading system and an image reading program for the image reading system in which the same image processing can be performed all over a designated range when reading images. SOLUTION: A range wider than designated is scanned in advance for the same image processing all over the designated range, and pixel data over the wide range are obtained. Besides, data are saved including the pixel data over the wide range. Concerning display, however, since it is troublesome if another area is displayed in a spite of the designation, only the designated area is displayed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
