PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to reuse a chain lead frame without generating scraps by imparting conductivity and nonconductivity to the chain lead frame strip plate material. SOLUTION: The chain lead structural body is composed of a pair of lead wires the leading end portions of which are connected to a body portion of an electronic component such as a capacitor. A lead wire press-fitting groove into which part or the whole of the leads is inserted is formed on the surface of a strip plate material having a substantially rectangular cross-sectional shape in the direction substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the strip plate material. The leads are secured in position through press-fitting into the groove. Applying a force in the direction opposite to the press-fitting direction will easily remove lead wire scrap. Furthermore, a hole is provided to facilitate push or pull of the lead wires press-fitted in the press-fitting groove, out of the groove, thus facilitating removal. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
