PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a multi-valued arithmetic result table in consideration of the quantity of available memory from a multi-valued dither table and the data value of a multi-valued image and to attain high-speed multi-valued image processing using the above table. SOLUTION: This image processor performs image processing using multi- valued dither table to a multi-valued image of M-bit multi-value per pixel. The image processor has an N-bit multi-valued dither table, a multi-valued airthmetic result table possessing the comparative arithmetic result of all of the input values with M-bit, and a multi-valued image processing part for converting the input multi-valued image according to the multi-valued arithmetic result table to create an output image.
