Apparatus used to interconnect, in series, conduits such as hoses used for conducting fluids and flowable substances, in such a manner as to obviate kinking which would otherwise impede flow through the conduits. The connecting apparatus includes a body (2) having at least an external portion (3) and at lest one internal portion (4). Both the external and the internal portions (3, 4) are adapted to engage with a distal end of the respective conduits being connected. Kinking of the conduits is prevented by 360 DEG rotation of the internal portion relative to the external portion in a fluid tight manner, without impeding the flow of fluid through the connecting apparatus or the conduits, even when high pressure fluids are being conducted.
