The device for the connection of a rod and a spherically symmetrical screw head comprises a first (14) and second (16) longitudinal pieces which cooperate together. The first end has an upper piece and a lower piece (26) bent away from it. The lower piece has lower support points (32,36,38,40) on which the screw head can rest. The upper piece has adjustable support means (46) arranged to face the lower piece and with a separation around the screw head. The adjustable support means and the lower support points define a polyhedron within which the screw head center (C) is located. An Independent claim is included for a rachis stabilization assembly.
