摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-layer phase change type information recording medium in which both a first information recording layer and a second information recording layer are excellent in a recording and reproducing characteristic by utilizing a difference in a crystallization speed of a recording medium in a technology for improving capacitance by providing two information recording layers on one side of a phase change type optical information recording medium, and to provide its recording method. <P>SOLUTION: This double-layer optical information recording medium obtained by laminating the following layers in the order of a light transmission layer, the first information recording layer, a transparent layer and the second information recording layer from a side to which a light is made incident, is composed primarily of a double-layer phase change type information recording medium, wherein the first information recording layer and the second information recording layer have a recording layer on which information can be recorded due to phase change between a crystal state and a amorphous state by light incident, and the crystallization speed of a first recording layer formed on the first information recording layer is lower than that of a second recording layer formed on the second information recording layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
