PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage battery manufacturable at a low cost and capable of exerting the performance without drop even through repetitions of charging and discharging. SOLUTION: The heat accumulation type storage battery is structured so that an electric heater 5 is installed in a heat accumulation chamber 2 filled with a heat accumulating substance 1, or thereto a combustion gas 7 is fed, and that a thermoelectric transducing element 3 is mounted on the surface of the heat accumulation chamber 2, wherein the thermoelectric transducing element 3 is furnished with a heat insulating material in such an arrangement as capable of being covered or removed.
