PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent lamp of which, a thin tube sealing part is prevented from cracks caused by a collision of amalgam in the thin tube and the thin tube sealing part when the thin tube is used as an exhaust tube. SOLUTION: Even if a vibration is conducted to a fluorescent lamp, amalgam 4 is restrained from colliding with a thin tube sealing protrusion part 3c, and generation of cracks is prevented by inserting a buffer material 5 made of cotton-like glass fiber between the amalgam 4 enclosed in a thin tube 3 and a sealing part 3b.
